My makerspace offers students a place to explore, learn and innovate. Interaction among our student inventors fosters
collaborative learning, encourages team building and offers peer support. Because the makerspace is cross-disciplinary,
students will benefit in many subject areas of their regular curriculum.

The Design Challenge
This engineering design challenge was my inspiration for this meeting. I gave my makers pipe cleaners, plastic cups and 8oz weight of stones. Their challenge was to build a structure that can hold the cup with the stones in it.
